Downtown Development

Peter will be working closely with the public to ensure that the City attracts development—in its Downtown core, commercial areas, and neighborhoods—that capitalizes on Mount Vernon’s unique style and sense of “place.”

Ultimately, we want our residents to be proud to call Mount Vernon home. This requires an extensive amount of listenting, prior to making decisions that will impact our city for generations to come. A thriving business core, comfortable neighborhoods, and an eviable parks and trails network will all be elements to focus on in the years ahead.
